Enovate Geostructural Instrumentation Project Manager in Cranford, New Jersey

We are seeking a Geostructural Instrumentation Project Manager with 5+ years’ geostructural monitoring experience to work on construction and development projects. The Geostructural Instrumentation Project Manager will manage the Monitoring Work and all aspects of both office and field work for large construction projects and work closely in collaboration with the project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage multiple clients, contracts, and projects at the same time.Be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.Provide geotechnical instrumentation procurement, installation, and data evaluation to in-house clients (fellow employees) and outside clients.Manage and supply data collected from geotechnical instrumentation projects in meaningful formats.Maintain geotechnical instrumentation equipment and keep calibrations current on necessary instrumentation.Be willing to travel to assist, oversee, or perform installation of geotechnical instrument monitoring systems.Prepare and write technical instrumentation engineering reports. Review technical reports and other documents; construction observation reports; and instrumentation engineering calculations prepared by lower-level engineers.Interact and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.Lead, mentor, oversee, and/or supervise junior engineers and other employees. Train junior employees to have similar skill sets, to provide back up and assistance.Support business development and marketing activities, including preparation of cost proposals and presentations to existing and prospective clients.Attend professional meetings and local conferences/trade shows to network with potential new clients.Install and integrate geostructural monitoring devices as well as other vendor hardware and sensors at project sites.Supervision of technical staff in the installation and commissioning of geostructutal instrumentation products and related field work, providing:Effective oversight and planning of team schedules.Preparation, training, and equipping of staff with all necessary tools to complete their assigned tasks.Auditing of all installations (in-person and remote) for proper and complete execution of work, and client satisfactionDevelop installation plans/submittals and installation closeout reports.Resolution of critical technical and procedural problems.Develop and administer processes and procedures for tracking technical staff performance.Administrate compliance of company and employee safety programs with client and regulatory requirements.Adequately document details of on-site work to equip the support team in future troubleshooting requests.Provide training to technical team members, as needed.Use appropriate processes and procedures to manage and report changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to clients, as needed.Additional Responsibilities5+ years of experience in geostructural instrumentation monitoring.Managerial/mentoring/business development experienceExperience with automated monitoring equipmentExperience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint softwareInstrumentation software and hardware installation and troubleshootingAutoCAD skills suitable for developing geotechnical deliverablesExcellent oral and written communication skillsPositive attitudeAbility to multi-taskStrong work ethic and a desire for continual self-improvementAbility to thrive in a collaborative team environmentConfident and independent, with a shared sense of responsibilityEffective time management and interpersonal skillsMinimum Qualifications5+ Years’ Experience RequiredBS Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Geological Engineering.Engineering in Training (EIT) License is preferredMentoring and supervisory experience.Uncompromising IntegrityEven if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
