Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Logistics Coordinator consists of, but is not limited to, analyzing and preparing reports, providing high level dashboards and details behind metrics upon request, developing action steps to mitigate roadblocks in achieving high rates of on time delivery to customers. The Logistics Coordinator must also be focused on setting individual development goals and able to handle multiple priorities concurrently. This position will be involved in managing communication channels between local carriers and class 1 railroads. Responsibilities include scheduling and monitoring both inbound and outbound shipments, tracking demurrage, calculating freight rates, and ensuring the accuracy of all shipping documentation.
