WebstaurantStore Inventory Quality Assurance Specialist 1st Shift in Cumberland, Maryland

The Outbound QA maintains in-depth knowledge of our products and Outbound procedures and stays in regular contact with the shift manager and peers in each department to meet daily goals.This position identifies operating issues and takes corrective action as needed; this includes receiving and providing clear directions, as well as serving as a role model of our culture to effectively communicate with employees and drive engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that all product / orders are picked, packed, and/or shipped in a timely manner; utilize the error log to document issues and track accountability

Oversee daily operations in the department to ensure a high level of productivity and quality while achieving operating goals; promote team adherence to Company policies and procedures

Monitor and provide consistent feedback to employees on individual and team performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

Conduct daily team meetings to update employees on work expectations, task assignments, best practices and operating expectations

Clearly communicate team goals, resolve problems as they arise, and answer any related questions

Act as a liaison between various departments in the warehouse; identify opportunities for process improvement within the department

Maintain a high level of communication with Outbound teams and management on a daily basis; partner with other team leads to flex hours where necessary

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

  • Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Business Proficiency in English is required
