UPMC Western Maryland is hiring a Team Lead for our Food Services Department! This is a full time position that will work rotating shifts week to week, including rotating weekend and holiday shifts. Prior supervisory experience in food service isstronglypreferred!
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Team:Oversee hourly associates, ensuring they adhere to all UPMC policies, procedures, and department standards.
- Inventory and Cash Security:Maintain the security of inventory and cash revenues.
- Training and Development:Orient, train, and coach new team members according to department guidelines.
- Food Safety:Routinely monitor the departments food safety program and take immediate action on identified hazards.
- Service Supervision:Ensure services meet department standards and perform quality control and assurance checks to comply with regulatory agencies.
- Performance Checks:Conduct routine competency checks on associate performance with appropriate follow-through.
- Customer Service:Handle and document service recovery for all customer complaints as per operational guidelines.
- Food Quality:Monitor food quantity and quality to ensure the appropriate product is available for meal service according to the menu and special requests.
- Sanitation:Oversee all aspects of the operations sanitation program daily to ensure inspection readiness at all times.
Shifts:
- Early Shift:5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (one week)
- Late Shift:12:00 PM - 8:30 PM (next week)
- Retail Supervision coverage:4:00 AM - 12:30 PM (as needed)
- Rotating Weekends and Holidays

Qualifications:
::: {field="qualifications"} - HS Diploma/GED preferred 2 years relevant experience required
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Allegany County Health Dept or other certified food protection manager certification required within 6 months of hire.
- American National Accreditation Board Certification.
- ANAB - National Accreditation Board OR Servsafe Certified
