In this role, you will spend most of your time developing automation solutions for the
frameworks and studies we support. You will also be doing some of the manual testing,
and participating in the cross-functional team meetings to stay abreast of projects in
development.
Job Description (including duties, skills, education):
Seeking an experienced, self-motivated Automation Engineer with a background in
manual testing. The successful candidate should have a strong aptitude for learning
new technologies, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build automated tests
and/or infrastructure for complex projects.
Primarily, your focus will be creating and executing automated and manual tests for the
iOS Research app study content and functionality, and maintaining an existing XCUI-
based automation framework. You will be working closely with Clinical, Engineering and
other cross-functional teams to ensure that product quality and user experience is
consistent with other products.
Strong collaboration with Engineering teams and an ability to thrive under pressure is
essential.
You will:
• Create and maintain automated tests based on established test plans and as-
needed for new features and defect investigations
• Document test plans/test cases and other testing procedures
• Execute test cases, document product defects and report testing results
• Participate in cross-functional email and group project discussions
Required experience:
• 2+ years experience automating iOS software (SWIFT) using XCUI, and
familiarity with Python.
• 5+ years experience testing mobile application software (iOS preferred)
• Integration systems and software development lifecycle
• Proactive, requires limited direction
• Ability to define, execute and automate end-to-end test suites as features evolve,
sometimes in the absence of detailed specs/documentation.
• Demonstrated communication working directly with Software Engineering,
Project Management, and other cross-functional teams to define acceptance
criteria and report quality metrics
