Job Summary:

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is hiring a Logistics Specialist to supportday-to-day operations of the Corporate Operations Department, Property Management Division (Auditing and Compliance) forthe Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full time on-site property management support: compliance of OM&S tag/record line items in N-ERP; conduct OM&S physical inventories; provide assistance to Tech Departments on OM&S property and N-ERP issues; maintain/reconcile OM&S property records and receipts and ensure property records are auditable and meet FIAR standards; and validate shipping manifests against container contents. Conduct OM&S Inventories on all property under the purview of Property Management.

  • Interface directly with NSWCDD Technical Departments, local government POCs, Subject Matter Experts (SME), NSWCDD Inventory Specialists and Procurement Analysts, NSWCDD Personal Property Manager (PPM), NSWCDD Organizational Property Administrators (OPA), and the Container Control Officer (CCO).

  • Assesses, manages and works to reduce risks.

  • Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers.

  • Develop logistics strategies and recommend changes to processes to keep programs ahead of schedule.

  • Update standard operating procedures and process guides as needed.

  • Prepares appropriate records and prepares reports as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

  • Must have a DoD-issued interim-Secret security clearance prior to starting work.

  • Must have experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool.

  • Must have associate's degree, or three (3) years of relevant work experience.

  • Must have experience with property management, inventory management, purchasing, operating materials & supplies (OM&S), or and/lor container operations.

  • Must have strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
