Southwind Orchards Farmworkers / Laborers in Dakota, Minnesota

Need 18 full-time, temporary, seasonal Farmworker/Laborers to work in Dakota, MN. From: 08/01/2024 - 10/31/2024 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 7 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day. 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours listed are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Hours worked over 48 in one work week, are paid at one and a half times regular rate. ESST Law: Effective 01/01/2024. A worker can earn bonuses based on performance. Bonuses are based on performance and are at the sole discretion of the employer. Must Apply By: 09/16/2024 JOB DUTIES: Workers will harvest orchard apple crops by picking, cleaning, grading, sorting and packing into boxes in the field and loading apples onto trucks. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.(3) months experience needed. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, and perform work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, stooping, bending over, and repetitive movements. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
