Description
The Texas A&M Univeristy School of Dentistry Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery invites applications for a full-time Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, 100% FTE, Academic Professional Track, Non-Tenure, Faculty position, with a 11-month service period. The start date is September 2, 2024, or negotiable. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor, as commensurate on review of qualifications. Responsibilities include didactic/clinical teaching at the post and pre-doctoral level, supervision of OMS residents, providing direct patient care as part of the faculty practice, including on-call coverage, participation in research, and other collaborative activities. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, display initiative, a positive attitude, flexibility, demonstrate a commitment to the Department's mission, and hold themselves to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent, have completed an ADA-accredited OMS residency program, be Board Certified or actively seeking Board Certification, and be eligible for a Texas Dental License.
Preferred qualifications: Completion of a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology Reconstruction
