Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in Dallas, Texas

Description:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing all invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This will involve, compiling and maintaining accounts payable records, while also providing clerical and administrative support as needed.

  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by setting bill due date reminders.

  • Communicate with vendors to research and resolve all vendor issues.

  • Maintain historical records by scanning invoices in the virtual filing system.

  • Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Checks all invoices and obtains appropriate coding/payment approval.

  • Review invoice coding for accuracy.

  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of invoices.

  • Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices as needed.

  • Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations

  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

  • Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.

  • Ensure supporting documentation is attached to invoices in the ERP system.

  • Assist in monthly close

  • Performs special projects as assigned

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of full cycle AP

  • Invoice creation, coding, and posting

  • Basic Excel (data entry / spreadsheets)

  • Software: NetSuite (preferred)

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
