Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Real Estate & Property industry based in Dallas, Texas. As a Sr. Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management. This role will provide an opportunity to utilize your skills in Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Yardi Software, Yardi Voyager, and Property Accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute account reconciliation, ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliation and maintain accuracy in financial statements.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to validate the company's financial transactions and status.
• Manage the general ledger, recording financial transactions, and maintaining an organized record.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets, charts, and reports for financial tracking and analysis.
• Handle Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accounted for within the appropriate period.
• Leverage Yardi Software for property management and accounting functions.
• Utilize Yardi Voyager for property management and accounting, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
• Apply your expertise in Property Accounting to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards within the real estate and property industry. Requirements • Possession of a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Real Estate & Property industry
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrated ability to manage the General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge and experience in using Yardi Software and Yardi Voyager
• Experience in Property Accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
