WR Systems Systems Engineer, Senior in Dam Neck, Virginia
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance is required to start

Location: Dam Neck, VA
SUMMARY : WR has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer, Senior to provide technical support to project team members using experience and judgment, and participate in the evaluation of new technical resources.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
· Independently analyze the performance of hardware and software interfaces.
· Identify alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources and modern hardware solutions.
· Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting operating systems and software.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Math, Physics or related scientific discipline.
· Ten (10) + years of professional experience in systems, software, electrical or mechanical engineering.
· Provide assistance to users in the development and integration of systems and environments.
· Install and manage systems and user utilities for modifications and upgrades of systems and environments and efficiently diagnoses and resolves system problems.
· Work with manufacturers and vendors of systems with regard to problem diagnosis and resolution.
· Plan and execute system version upgrade releases and custom interfaces.
· Ability to use Jira and/or Confluence .
· Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of degree depending on contractual requirements.
