Aerotek Composite Technician in Dayton, Ohio

Job Title: 1st Shift Composite Technician

Job Description

As a Composite Technician, you will collaborate closely with the engineering department to determine necessary materials and adhere to the correct Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Your role involves working with various chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases such as pre-preg carbon, resin, and epoxy. You will be processing composites using diverse methods including Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), vacuum bagging, and high-pressure processing. Additionally, you will be responsible for recording all relevant data (both paper and electronic) and maintaining equipment by changing pumps, valves, and servos. Operating furnaces, RTM machines, and autoclaves will also be a significant part of your duties.

Must Have Skills

  • Machine operating experience with pre-preg carbon, epoxy, dry carbon, fiberglass, honeycomb, and/or resin

  • Mechanical aptitude for maintaining machines including changing out pumps, valves, or servos

  • Ability to work closely with other departments

  • Strong record-keeping skills

Shift and Pay

  • 1st shift 8am-5pm

  • Monday-Friday

  • $24 to $26/hr

Work Environment

You will be working with newer equipment in a small team environment that is organized, well-lit, and climate-controlled.
