The Brazer assembles coil units safely and efficiently by following standard work protocols. Responsibilities
The Brazer is an integral member of the coil manufacturing team, responsible for assembling a variety of coil units safely and efficiently by following standard work protocols. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and dimensional drawings, and to braze copper components using single- and dual-tip oxy-fuel torches to assist with final coil assembly. Key responsibilities include guiding torch and rod along joints to heat to brazing temperature, cleaning joints of workpieces, re-brazing defective joints, and selecting appropriate torch tip, flux, and brazing alloy. The Brazer will also connect hoses from torch to regulator valves, melt and separate brazed joints to remove and straighten damaged components, and utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures. Proficiency in brazing techniques, basic math skills, and an understanding of safety requirements are essential. The Brazer is committed to meeting daily production goals, maintaining and organizing the work area, adhering to 5S standards, and acquiring skills to support the highest quality standards. Demonstrating flexibility and teamwork, the Brazer will also assist in other areas as needed and perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor. working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 50lbs
standing for 10 hours at one time
working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
