Job Title: Manual Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to operate a manual lathe to fabricate and repair parts for rotating industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in using hand and power tools, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. You will ensure all fabricated parts meet safety and quality standards and collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Responsibilities
Operate a manual lathe to fabricate and repair parts for rotating industrial equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively.
Ensure all fabricated parts meet safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with other team members to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in operating a manual lathe.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Experience with hand tools and print reading.
Ability to fabricate parts to precise specifications.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with blueprint reading, drill press, lathe machine, lathe setup, fabrication, mechanical change over, manual grinding, lathe, mechanical aptitude, braiding, manual lathe, manual machining, and pump assembly.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, Alabama.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
