Job Title: Software Engineer Work Status: Full-Time Location: San Diego Security Clearance: Secret Requisition Number: SE-001LS

Job Summary: The Software Engineer will provide technical and operational expertise to perform systems engineering, software development, maintenance, integration, test, and life-cycle support for a wide range of Navy, Joint, and National Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems. The Software Engineer will work with our NIWC PAC located in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Support BMA development and maintenance via Maritime Tactical Command and Control (MTC2) Path Finder Overmatch Software Armory (OSA) software Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using the OSA Enterprise Toolset.
• Implement the Development, Security, Operations (DEVSECOPS) process and procedures to facilitate rapid delivery of capabilities to the fleet.
• Support management of the OSA source code repository and orchestration of an automated process that includes source code builds, deploying the code into Containers, static and dynamic cyber security scans, quality scans, automated testing, and use of the OSA container repositories.
• Provide installation support of the BMA apps and assist with automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline.
• Support the deployment of BMAs within representative NIWC Pacific cloud and onpremise test environments.
• Support the creation and maintenance of BMA instances via the Path Finder CI/CD pipeline. Including system administration support, account management support, and scanning/patching support.
• Support the transition of external BMAs into the Path Finder CI/CD pipeline. Including software engineering technical solutions to assist the product teams with processing their BMA application through the automated software pipeline from initial build through to production.

Experience:

• Proficient using DevSecOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes (Rancher, Openshift, or equivalent), Jenkins, Ansible.
• Experience with AWS. Including cloud-based infrastructure and administration.
• Experience writing scripts.
• Strong Linux/UNIX knowledge (including scripting: bash/perl/python/ruby).
• Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Experience with a Cloud Based Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline within a DevSecOps construct using enterprise toolsets to automate the building, software quality.
• Engineering experience in DoD systems.
• Experience with engineering in Navy C4I systems.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or related field
• Security+ Certification
• OS certification (AWS, Windows, Red Hat Linux, etc.)
• Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) IAT Level II certified
