General Job Description and Expectations:

As a Concrete Finisher you will report to the Concrete Foreman and will be responsible to smooth and finish freshly poured concrete, apply curing, or surface treatments and install, maintain and restore various masonry structures such as floors, sidewalks, roads and patios. You will be the professional responsible for the final steps of a manufacturing or construction process, ensuring the product or project meets specified standards. These specialists are usually the last to work on a project, performing quality checks and polishing where necessary.

Concrete Crews are often required to work over weekends, on public holidays, and at night.

 

Qualifications:

  • Have a positive and safe work site attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding diligence providing quality work.
  • Must have completed High School or GED equivalency.

  • Proven work experience as a concrete finisher.
  • Knowledge of road and traffic regulations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on weekends, public holidays, and at night.
  • Ability to travel to wherever the job is needed.
  • Ability to work for long hours in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and observation skills.
  • At least one year's experience as a Concrete Finisher in a construction type

         setting.

  • Possess an active, up-to-date driver's license. OSHA 30 Certification preferred. Previous job-

         related certifications a plus.

  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods of time when on the jobsite.

  • Physical effort/lifting such as medium up to fifty pounds and occasionally heavy over fifty

         pounds.

  • Ability to work in exposed conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and wind.
