Volt is immediately hiring Senior Platform Product Owner in Aurora, CO.

As Senior Platform Product Owner you will:

As a Senior Platform Product Owner, you will herald a transformative era in software engineering, one that underscores the integration of development and operations through a single, comprehensive platform. Platform engineers, with their comprehensive technical and problem-solving skills, are shaping the future of software development to efficiently deliver high-quality, secure software, by providing automated services that enable SW engineers to focus on developing mission capabilities. The role's core responsibility will be as a Product Owner for an agile platform product team. Additionally, you will help with the design and implementation of the platform. You will be on a team that is responsible for development and operational environments consisting of a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware. These environments provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and t esting for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset.

What You Will Do: Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure to a modern platform infrastructure. Convert strategy and strategic initiatives into well-developed plans and objectives over different time frames captured a backlog of features and stories. Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement development and mission solutions. Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise VMware computing e Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management. Ensure security and compliance are integrated into the platform. Provide operational support for t he platform.

This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to Hire opportunity.

This position requires Active TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance.

The Ideal candidate will have: TS/SCI / CI Poly issued security clearance is required. Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience. Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe). Great communication and interpersonal skills to successfully work with various teams. Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services. Experience with containerization using technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker. Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems. Experience with VMware. Experience with programming/automation/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go). Able to break down complex ideas into easy-to-understand tasking. Current CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Pay Range: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour.
