The role's core responsibility revolves around empowering development teams with a robust platform that streamlines processes, enhances collaboration, and accelerates release cycles, thereby driving efficiency and innovation. You will be on a team that is responsible for development and operational environments consisting of a mix of servers, wo rkstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware. These environments provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset. What You Will Do:
Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure.
Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise VMware computing e
Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement development and mission solutions.
Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management.
Provide operational support for the platform.
This is a 12 Month full time Contract opportunity.
This position requires Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
The Ideal candidate will have:
Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience.
Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker.
Administrative fluency with the following (or vendor equivalent): Linux and VMWare solutions.
Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems.
Current CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Pay Range: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
