Laradon Program Manager - Calabrese Youth Center in Denver, Colorado

Position: Weekend Program Manager

Location: Laradon fosters a collaborative, team environment; working on-site in Denver, CO

Schedule: Thursday-Monday, 10 hour shifts with potential for evening and overnight hours.

Starting Salary Range: * $ 55,000-$68,750 annually

The stated starting salary pay range for this position is meant to reflect a range of where a typical entry level candidate would start and is not meant to be all inclusive. Additional education and experience may result in a starting pay outside of the stated range.

We are seeking a Program Manager to support the Calabrese Youth Center (CYC). Reporting to the CYC Director, this role will support Laradon’s mission by c oordinating 24-hour residential services to children/youth served in Laradon's youth center program.  Oversee Residential Counselors; interact with department director and case manager to ensure quality of life and upward development for children/youth.

No day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in quality assurance procedures and policy development to ensure compliance with governing agencies.

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. 

  • Oversee facility maintenance and safety.

  • Assist with budget, policies, and strategic plans.

  • Monitor and implement programming.

  • Facilitate staff meetings for Residential Counselors.

  • Ensure development and implementation of weekly activity schedules by Residential Counselors.

  • Schedule and guarantee adequate shift coverage and document overtime, this may include actual direct care coverage when needed.

  • 24-hour on-call.

  • Participate in weekly staff meetings.

  • Ensure children/youth's medical and health needs are met.

  • Maintain individual working files.

  • Review children/youth's incident reports and follow-up as necessary.

  • Coordinate staff training and development.

  • Conduct interviews, maintain discipline and provide training to staff.

  • Perform supervision and accountability of staff performance.

  • Establish and maintain written and verbal communication with governing agencies, families/guardians, providers and community.

  • Represent Laradon in the community.

  • Provide 24-hour crisis intervention and counseling to children/youth, as needed.

  • Drive participants as necessary for program needs.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • As Laradon is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative, team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    We look forward to what you will bring to our workplace:

  • One year supervisory/management experience in the human services field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Behavioral Sciences, Psychology or related field preferred or five years of experience in the IDD field.

  • Two years of experience working with trauma informed care preferred.

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

  • Valid driving license, good driving record, and reliable transportation

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force; physical condition to enable walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; stamina to be on feet and active for full work days; ability to complete training and perform physical management of child/youth as necessary, including physical restraints; ability to speak or exchange information in an audible manner.
