What You'll Get to Do:

Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Senior Water Resources Program Manager, who can support large, complex engineering and environmental permitting projects. The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills and abilities in project management, problem solving, and mentoring staff in addition to technical expertise in the required fields. You will apply your knowledge and previous experience to successfully manage client projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced and flexible working environment.

More About This Role:

Program and Project Management: Serve as a Project Manager and assist the Regional Manager in the successful planning and execution of client projects to meet timelines and budgets. Manage large engineering/environmental projects involving multiple SMEs, clients or partners. Provide senior-level review of project deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations. Monitor project progress and implement changes as necessary.

Team Management: Oversee multi-disciplinary teams, providing guidance and support for individual projects and fostering a collaborative work environment. Senior Program Manager will be responsible for allocating resources and managing workload distribution based on project needs and team capacity. Senior Program Manager will also act as a liaison between team members and senior management to facilitate open communication and feedback.

Client Relations: Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients. Proactively engage with clients to understand needs, provide exceptional service throughout project lifecycle, and identify additional opportunities.

Technical Input: Provide high-level analysis and support for federal, state, local, and private clients on a range of environmental permitting, compliance, and resource development projects. Apply expertise and experience with major federal environmental laws (e.g., CWA, NEPA, ESA/Section 7, NHPA/Section 106) and comparable state programs to develop and implement permitting strategies for clients.

Financial Management: Assist the Regional Manager in developing and monitoring department budgets. Monitor individual project progress (schedule, budget, and quality) and conduct regular reviews to identify variances, proactively addressing discrepancies and potential challeng

You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in biology, environmental science, ecology, environmental engineering, or a related scientific/engineering field. Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience demonstrating increasing growth and responsibility. Knowledge and experience with federal, state, and local environmental regulations related to compliance and resource development (e.g., CWA, CAA, NEPA, RCRA, ESA, MMPA, NHPA). Successful history working with key stakeholders (e.g., federal/state regulators, NGOs, local communities, tribal representatives) to advance project goals. Proven ability to manage large, complex contracts and lead multi-disciplinary staff to successfully meet project objectives. Demonstrated management experience related to multiple, complex, and simultaneous projects Leader and team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications xcellent research, technical writing, and verbal communication skills/experience. Able to handle multiple technical tasks/projects at once on time and on budget. Highly dependable, detail-oriented, flexible, and responsive to tight or changing client-driven deadlines Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills Able to interact well with coworkers and existing clients in a professional and confident manner
