Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Denver, Colorado

Description We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our team in Denver, Colorado. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various accounting functions such as reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances, preparing financial statements, assisting with budget preparation, and maintaining fixed assets schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances

• Preparing and presenting financial statements

• Evaluating internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas

• Assisting in the preparation of the budget and conducting monthly budget variance analyses

• Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset schedules

• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Using Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools to perform tasks efficiently and accurately

• Ensuring the timely completion of month-end close activities

• Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations Requirements • Proven experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar capacity

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Solid understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

• Experience in preparing journal entries and managing financial statements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
