Griffin Health Exercise Physiologist - Per Diem in Derby, Connecticut

Description

This position will report to the Employer Wellness Director.

MAIN FUNTION: To assess patients based on their medical history for admission into the Cardiac Rehab and Wellness programs offered through Griffin Health. Assists in the development of exercise prescriptions and protocols and supervises exercise therapy. Works with the employee wellness programs to offer employees fitness center options, profiles and program recommendations. Manages calibration, maintenance and use of exercise equipment and education of patients in equipment concepts. Primary contact for exercise groups connected to our Wellness For Life Program.

EDUCATION: Current CPR and ACLS Certification. American College of Sports Medicine certification is preferred. Specialized training in exercise physiology and cardiac rehab.

EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years of experience in cardiac rehab or related field.
