Overview/Function: The Dispatch Analyst plays a critical role in the delivery of Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company products and in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. Based on daily and weekly order forecasting, they plan, map out and optimize space on route vehicles for product deliveries.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review sales orders. Plan daily work for order-building and warehouse teams, maximizing route delivery resources.
  • Following company standards, create balanced loads for each route vehicle, determining volume and product needs per vehicle, per route.
  • Interact with a variety of departments including Warehouse, Customer Care Center, and Sales to address service delivery issues.
  • Maintain data in route planning software from geo fences, stop analysis, and customer data.
  • Create and summarize delivery data on a weekly and ad hoc basis.
  • Identify opportunities for delivery and inventory improvements and recommend solutions.
  • Other duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED with 1-2 years of previous planning experience.
  • Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities. Must have ability to resolve delivery issues and to prioritize.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations.
  • Positive, helpful attitude.
  • Good general computer skills are needed.
  • Knowledge of travel area, product loads, customers, and geography
  • Good communication skills are a must.
  • Consistent, regular attendance is an essential job function.

Additional:

  • To accomplish their tasks, the position will be primarily office-based, but may also need to occasionally work in a warehouse environment in which the temperate is unregulated and dependent upon outdoor temperatures.
  • Some travel to company sites will be required (approximately 5-10%).
  • Work hours: Typically 6:45 am to 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Some occasional weekend or off-shift work may be needed.
