The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic position is to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, rebuild, and upgrades on production machines and equipment. They may also assist other maintenance personnel with equipment installation and preventative maintenance duties as required.
- Must have above average (advanced) mechanical aptitude and skills in order to perform the following requirements of analyzing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing various production equipment.
- Must be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the trade skills, i.e. electricity, electronics, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.
- Must be able to use all hand and power tools proficiently.
- Must be able to attain a forklift, boom lift and scissor lift licenses as required.
- Must be familiar with and cognizant of safety guidelines throughout the company.
- Must maintain a good attendance and punctuality record.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, technical and service bulletins, product specifications, and other standard operating procedures.
- Must be able to use and understand various specialized measuring tools and equipment unique to the job, i.e. laser level, micrometres, callipers, multi-meter, etc.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as they will interact with other departments, professional staff and management of the company.
- Must be able to work with limited supervision and show/demonstrate initiative, analytical effort, tact, good judgement and sound reasoning.
- Must be able to handle the physical requirements of the position.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
