Job Description

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (https://youtu.be/H_IrVnVjcoA) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB.

This position is in the Agency Support Division Section Manager overseeing Treasury wide Contact Centers, Treasury-wide Application IT Delivery, non-SAP vendor supported applications, and Client Support. This Agency Support section manager provide leadership and management oversight for all Treasury Contact Center technology, as well as Treasury wide applications such as FileNet, Tidal, Datacap, Open Text, MiLogin, Print to Web, SharePoint, and Website IT project delivery and support. The position would provide IT leadership and governance over non-SAP vendor supported application that may be hosted by State of Michigan or externally hosted by the vendor. This Agency Support section manager provides leadership and management oversight to the client support staff and client request intake management and timely delivery.

The Agency Services Development Section Manager ensures the first line supervisors handle administrative, supervisory, and planning functions, and managing daily operations.

The Agency Services Development Section Manager ‘s supervisory functions include employee evaluation, counseling, selection, provision of technical and policy guidance and training of all employees.

Required Education and Experience

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.

Alternate Education and Experience

Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
