This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking an Operations Research System Analyst in Doral, FL to be responsible for qualitative and quantitative analysis of programs across USSOUTHCOM and its associated commands and partners. As well as be responsible for running numbers against MOEs and theater cooperation plans.

This position is in support of US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) operations, planning, engagements, and security cooperation in its assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR), which currently includes Central America, South America, and the Caribbean Sea.

One of six US geographic combatant commands, USSOUTHCOM deters aggression, defeats threats, rapidly responds to crises, and builds regional capacity by working with partner nations and mission partners to enhance security and defend the US homeland and national interests. USSOUTHCOM is responsible for providing contingency planning, operations, and security cooperation in its AOR to understand and counter threats from transnational criminal organizations, violent extremist organizations, and malign regional and external state actors.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for Qualitative and Quantitative analysis of programs across USSOUTHCOM and its associated commands and partner, responsible for running numbers against MOEs and theater cooperation plans.

  • strategic partnering, regional security cooperation, managing Title 10 and Title 22 programs, and advancing partner nations' capabilities through training and equipment. Coordinates with key stakeholders, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, U.S. Embassy country teams, and the Joint Staff, to ensure effective execution of security cooperation plans in accordance with DoD Instruction 5132.14.

  • Provides integrated planning and project management to support USSOUTHCOM’s strategic goals, facilitating information sharing and interoperability across mission partners.

  • Develops information products and analyzes doctrine and training needs.

  • Drafts planning goals, prepares review documentation, and conducts risk assessments to improve financial transparency and organizational efficiency within USSOUTHCOM.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in operations research or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling, optimization, and statistical analysis.

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and MATLAB.

  • Knowledge of database management and data visualization tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor or Master’s Degree.
