Kuehne+Nagel Air Logistics Operational Care Specialist in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Join our dedicated Air Logistics Operational Care team in Dubai and play a key role in the transportation of our customers’ goods on their journey across the globe, ensuring attention to details and excellent customer service.
Your Role
The Operational Care Specialist is responsible for managing the coordination of customer shipments by securing buy rates (when required) as well as capacity with qualified carriers/partners and or via the Kuehne+Nagel gateways. Specifically, the Operational Care Specialist will be part of a team ( Operational Care Centers) responsible for coordinating transport activities by executing the necessary bookings with our partners and gateways, executing the requisite data entry associated with transport document generation, generating the required documentation , and liaising with our customer care specialists to ensure specific requirements are met (Transit Times, Carrier selection , Routings, etc) . All of these activities are to be performed in compliance with rules and regulations governing air transport and associated national protocols and executed via Kuehne+Nagel operational systems.
Your Responsibilities
To coordinate and align customer deliverables with customer care teams, operational colleagues and suppliers to manage the movement of customer's cargo.
To review and ensure alignment of shipping instructions including to clarify any deviations/conflicts in contradiction to country regulations, export compliance and rate and routing information.
To coordinate with airlines and ground handling agents for booking, documentation and related export formalities to ensure smooth handover and departure services.
To manage operational tasks through Business Process Automation tools (BPA), Carelog and all related features.
To immediately report problems, operational disputes or discrepancies to supervisors, managers, divisional managers or branch managers.
To monitor operational performance of carriers and other vendors and notify the stakeholders if any discrepancies.
To work with Sales and Customer Care teams on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operations.
Your Skills and Experiences
Proven experience in an excellent knowledge of Air Logistics
Ability to work to the required operational quality standards both through own initiative as well as building strong relationships and collaborating with the team and stakeholders
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, fulfil critical tasks on time and keep to deadlines.
Resilience to manage change, embrace new technologies and quickly understand and execute new processes.
Problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions and resolve issues in the transportation process.
Fluency in English is required for the role
