Aggreko Regional Financial Controller - Middle East in Dubai, United States

We’re looking for Regional Financial Controller in Dubai To deliver best in class controls, accounting and reporting across Middle East businesses whilst driving improvements in processing efficiency. The role holder will be required to lead the central accounting team and responsible (jointly with Financial, Planning & Analysis Manager) for the on time delivery and management of the financial reporting requirements. They will support the review and monitoring of the overall internal controls framework, model month end review and financial control checklist status tracking as well as lead all internal and external audit activity through Middle East

​What you’ll do:

  • Manage team responsible for general accounting, accounts payable, payroll, tax & treasury across AME.

  • To ensure robust and effective policies and controls are maintained across the business.

  • Lead the model month end (balance sheet reconciliations) and Financial Control Checklist processes working across the function to ensure that controls are maintained, constantly improved and actioned.

  • Work closely with AME Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.

  • Key support role working with Head of Finance in setting up processes & controls for new entities/branches.

  • Own the accurate and timely completion of the month end and year end financial close process.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all statutory account filings (including branches and subsidiaries) are completed and filed on time. lead and liaise with external auditors on timely completion for al entities within AME.

  • Manage the payroll process for ME and JA entities along with other AME regions.

  • Work closely with other entities on intercompany balances and accurate reporting on monthly balances.

  • Manage with the team on accurate FA and inventory accounting in line with group policy.

  • Provide key support to driving Working Capital improvements including financial scenario modelling of potential balance sheet targets to drive higher AME returns.

  • Work closely with Group Treasury to ensure reliable and accurate cash, foreign exchange and balance sheet forecasting including management of all reporting requirements.

  • Lead the treasury related tasks assisting group on minimizing cash holdings.

  • Coordination of local payable team with central to align with timely payment and accurate reporting.

  • Own relationship and liaise with internal/external bodies including audit, tax & 3rd party advisors.

  • Ensure compliance with all Aggreko Head Office accounting and reporting standards.

  • Driving remediation of audit issues and proactively reviewing and managing controls to ensure all audits (financial and operational) deliver minimum B grades.

  • Respond to Head Office questions and requests in relation to the above matters.

  • Manage activities of transactional finance team to ensure standards are consistent across all aspects.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in transaction processing activities via monitoring of KPIs.

  • Conduct induction, performance appraisal, development and training of direct reports.

​You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or equivalent qualifications, i.e. CPA, ACCA, ICAS

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in related field

  • Holding a managerial supervisory role for the last 3 years

  • Availability to travel as and when required

  • Office based job and requires light physical effort​
