TAD PGS, Inc. Project Lead (Superintendent) in Dublin, Ohio

We have an Excellent career opportunity for aProject Lead (Superintendent)to join a leading Company inDublin, OH.

Project Leads create and execute the project plan from turnover through punch-out to achieve the correct project outcome. Project Leads are working between the field and the local BURG as they engage internally and with customers. The Project Lead's ability to engage the Project Execution Process and anticipate and overcome project challenges to meet the goals of the BURG is essential to our success.

Responsibilities :

  • Project Execution Process - Turnover Meeting

  • Validation the project team has the necessary bid information to begin planning for the project

  • Project Execution Process - Alignment & Expectations

  • Develop a plan of specific actions related to each talent development priority for the project

  • Project Execution Process - Project Planning

  • Review all the project information and create the Project Plan to execute in accordance with the contract requirements and estimated budget

  • Create and prepare to deliver the Customer Plan for the project including key focus items needed to ensure expectations are met, critical items are being addressed, and structured interactions are planned

  • Create and prepare to deliver the Equipment Plan for the project including a list and duration by Phase in collaboration with the Equipment Coordinator

  • Create and prepare to deliver the Projects Sequenced Schedule with Milestones

  • Create and prepare to deliver the quality expectations (in detail) for the key elements of the project and the means and methods to be used by the field teams

  • Consider relevant prior risks and how we will prevent them this time around

  • Ensure Safety is integrated into the project by identifying the likely hazards and planning their elimination/ mitigation and a schedule of training required

  • Communicate expectations with Subs and Vendors to ensure coordination and collaboration on their scopes of work

  • Project Execution Process - Customer Plan Presentation

  • Collaborates with the PC and OM/OL in the creation and preparation of the CPP

  • Participates in the Customer Plan Presentation with the PC and OM/OL

  • Re-plan or update the project plan based on feedback from customers in collaboration with the PC

  • Project Execution Process - Phase Planning

  • Deliver the Project Plan and Phase Information to the assigned FL and schedule their activity, set expectations, and define the Phase Planning detail to be created and delivered by the FL and the expected date of delivery

  • Review the FL-created detail plans and validate/adjust/influence as needed to align with (or adjust) the overall Project Plan/Project Goals

  • Creates and engages the Field Leads on the site logistics plan to utilize space and staging areas efficiently for equipment and materials needed throughout the project

  • Project Execution Process - Monthly Planning

  • Reviews job cost reports to determine how cost codes are performing to budget and monitor material and consumable spending

  • Adjusts work plans to meet budget targets

  • Influences production/craft to meet planned schedule and adjusts as needed with PC to accelerate schedule or overcome challenges

  • Project Execution Process - Weekly Planning

  • Deliver the latest short interval schedule and relevant phase plans

  • Assess whether we achieved the weekly plan

  • If not, discuss and agree on how the plans need to be changed to enable the team to achieve the plan the following week

  • Communicate expectations for the upcoming week to FLs in terms of daily production and other goals based on the progress to date and upcoming short interval schedule and phase plans

  • Uses the On Rent Report to maximize equipment utilization in collaboration with the Equipment Coordinator and PC, and monitors routine maintenance, photo documentation, and damage control

  • Reports, discusses, and makes decisions about opportunities and risks with PC and OL/OM as needed

  • Consistently walks the project site with TSL to identify any safety deficiencies

  • Creates action plan after observations to address any deficiencies and address the 'why' behind corrective actions

  • Encourages and ensures the Near Hit Program and RCA Process is being used and at the expected cadence

  • Communicates with customers in the field about project needs, opportunities, and coordination with other trades

  • Adjusts manpower and work plans to drive production results based on information pulled from daily job costs

  • Reviews appropriate OAT for current/future phase of work with FL

  • Project Execution Process - Daily Planning

  • Review the plan for the next day and provide feedback

  • Prompts Field Leads and Crew Task Leads to anticipate their needs and create plans to execute high-risk activities

  • Identifies key work items and prioritizes discussion with Field Lead and Craft each morning

  • Sets production targets that align with schedule, budget, safety, and quality targets

  • Completes daily reports to customers as needed

  • Confirms and coordinates execution of punchlist items to ensure customer satisfaction and contractual compliance

  • Talent Development Program Execution Process

  • Ensures project team members are utilizing project opportunities for talent development

  • Educates and mentors Field and Crew Task leads on career development

    Basic Hiring Criteria :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience

  • Experience working with concrete, tilt walls, foundations, slab work, etc

  • Leadership / Management experience

  • Great Communication - written & verbal

  • Project Management: Experience in planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects from start to finish

  • Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, plans, and specifications

  • Licenses: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Time Management: Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines

    Desired Qualifications :

  • Experience as a Superintendent for a concrete construction company

  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed to meet project deadlines
