Job Responsibilities The primary responsibility will be teaching undergraduate courses and departmental and collegiate service. Qualifications Essential/Required Qualifications A Master's in Sociology or Criminology from an accredited university Evidence of ability to teach research methods (as well as electives within the candidate's areas of strength) Evidence of successful college teaching experience Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Sociology or Criminology from an accredited university Evidence of ability to teach statistics, introductory sociology, and inequality courses Evidence of the ability to work effectively with diverse groups About the Department The Department of Studies in Justice, Culture, & Social Change is in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS) and offers BA degrees in Sociology, Criminology, Anthropology, and Women/Gender/Sexuality Studies along with minors in Sociology, Anthropology, and Women/Gender/Sexuality Studies. Duluth, with a population of approximately 85,000 people, is located at the head of beautiful Lake Superior.
