Job Description:
Plant, water, fertilize, weed, cultivate, wash, package and preserve: green and wax beans, summer and winter squash, pumpkins, sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, melons, potatoes, asparagus, sunflowers, strawberries. Prepare new 20+ acre planting site for orchard and plant and care for new perennial fruit crops.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to work in exposure to extreme temperatures
- Extensive pushing and pulling
- Frequent stooping or bending over
- Must be able to lift 50 Lbs
- Repetitive movements
Provision of Meals:
- Employer does not provide meals.
- Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation.
- For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).
- Dining, kitchen/cooking facilities and other common areas are shared by all workers.
Transportation and Daily Subsistence"
- Description of terms and arragements for daily transportation the employer will provide to workers:
- Employer will provide transportation between living quarters and worksites at no cost to the worker.
- All employer provided transportation will meet applicable federal and state laws and safety standards.
- Description of terms and arrangements for providing workers with transportation to and from the place of employment
- Employer provided transportation will be airplane, charter bus, employer operated vehicle, or other common means depending on the workers' country or State of origin.
- All common means of transportation will meet applicable safety standards and will abide by 20 CFR 655.122(h)(1) & (2).
- During travel described in item 2, the employer will pay for or reimburse daily meals by providing the worker:
- no less than $15.88 per day
- No more than $59.00 per day with receipts
