Actalent Design Engineer in Durham, North Carolina
Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description
Join our Microgrid Mechanical Engineering team to model and create production drawing sets for mechanical systems per specifications. Provide engineering and design support for components and assemblies including generator enclosures, frame design, fuel tank design, and switchgear frames. Develop comprehensive document sets including BOM, schematics, and schedules to ensure safe and efficient equipment installation. Use CAD models to drive complete BOMs in PDM software. Perform various engineering calculations and interface with design teams for equipment placement and code clearances. Assist in product development, design for manufacturability, and processes to reduce manufacturing costs. Coordinate with technical project managers to identify project risks and support team members.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Durham, North Carolina and some days remote.
Work Environment
40 hours per week in a task-driven environment with occasional overtime. Offers a 3/2 hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
