Job Description
Our team is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to provide a variety of administrative and patient care supportive duties in Student Health. The successful candidate will assist administrative, medical and/or nursing staff in the registration, examination, and treatment of patients, ensuring the office runs smoothly. Key responsibilities include working closely with Providers, registering and processing appointment check-in and check-out in the electronic medical record systems, verifying health insurance information, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and providing routine information regarding Student Health services.
Hard Skills
1+ years’ experience as a CMA
CMA or RMA and AHA BLS certifications required
Experience with electronic medical record systems
Knowledge in scheduling appointments
Experience in verifying health insurance information
Soft Skills

Job Type
This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Durham, North Carolina.
Work Environment
This position offers a fast-paced clinic environment and requires an individual who can be on their feet the majority of time.
The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00a-5:00p.
This is a 6-month contract role with the opportunity to apply/interview for permanent vacancies.
