Job Title: Storm Water Specialist Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Storm Water Specialist to oversee storm water compliance for industrial facilities and construction projects. This role involves engaging with team members, preparing and submitting permits, plans, and reports, performing inspections and coordinating with various regulatory agencies. The primary focus will be on the asphaltic pavement, nonmetallic mining, ready-mix concrete, and road construction industries in Wisconsin and Michigan. This position may provide environmental compliance assistance in additional regulatory fields including wastewater, air regulations and permits, visible emissions, ECIP preparation for WisDOT projects, nonmetallic reclamation, underground and aboveground storage tanks, among others. This position involves both office-based tasks and fieldwork, requiring day travel to various sites in Wisconsin and Michigan. Key Responsibilities: Ensure thorough and efficient compliance with environmental regulations related to fields previously listed, with main emphasis on storm water. Prepare, write, and submit permit applications, SWPPPs and reports. Conduct inspections and audits of industrial facilities and construction sites to ensure adherence to applicable permits and regulations. Coordinate and communicate with regulatory agencies, including federal, state, county, and local authorities. Collaborate with co-workers to ensure seamless integration of environmental compliance within operational processes. Conduct employee training. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years\' experience and knowledge in construction and industrial storm water management including application preparation and submittals, SWPPP writing and implementation, performing inspections, and general compliance. Ability to obtain the following certifications: o MSHA Certification o Method 9 Visible Emissions Certification o Michigan EGLE Waste Treatment Operator, Industrial Classification A-1a Certification o Michigan EGLE Storm Water Management Industrial Site Certification, A-1i o UST Class A/B Operator Certification Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to walk, climb, and navigate uneven terrain and steep hills; must be able to bend, lift 50 lbs. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Valid driver\'s license. Willingness and ability to work in diverse weather conditions is essential. Preferred Experience and/or Skills: Specific compliance experience within the nonmetallic mining, hot mix asphalt, ready-mix concrete and road construction industries. Proficient in using AutoCAD MSHA Certification Method 9 Visible Emissions Certification Familiarity with Wisconsin\'s WAMS system and Michigan\'s MiEnviro system.
