District Fleet Manager

The Day-to-day operations of a Fleet Manager:

  • Ensure Day-to-day route optimization.
  • Work closely Day-to-day with shop personal and branch management on vehicle that may require major expense of repairs.
  • Work closely ongoing with RFM on major expenditures for needed repairs.
  • Work closely with branch management and shop leads on all excessive repairs.
  • Review with guidance and approve costly repairs.
  • Work closely with branch management, RFM and DVP to ensure we are meeting and exceeding budget expectations.
  • Review GMS tracking programs to ensure branch compliance.
  • Work with vendors and shop personal on outside repair expense. To include satellite locations.
  • Work closely with all shops on training process dictated by the RFM and Fleet VP.
  • Work closely with RFM on policy, procedures, and monthly expectations.
  • Ensure our branches are taking advantage of national vendor account pricing and compliance with corporate fleet policy expectations.
  • Ensure safe running facilities.
  • Review trucks with shop personal that have been repaired prior to ensure vehicle repairs were completed correctly.
  • Work closely with locations that have been identified as underperforming locations.
  • Attend driver meetings to help on vehicle issues compliance and well as training as needed.

Satellite Branches

  • Assist with Loomis repairs and upgrades.
  • Schedule and assist with routine maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
  • Ensure correct vendors are utilized.
  • Ensure parts are sourced in Loomis interest.
  • Ensure GMS data is inputted correctly and accurately.

Loomis Garages

  • Provide hands on training for repairs.
  • Ensure fleet best practices are followed.
  • Order and provide training on fleet tools.
  • Provide a uniform vendor network across district.
  • Provide a path for large repairs while keeping district interest for performance.

GMS and Maintenance Policy

  • Provide day to day training to ensure uniform data input.
  • Provide training for new employees.
  • Monitor local progress and scoring
  • Encourage best safety practices to be followed.
  • Custom new safety guidelines and best practices for district needs.

Trucks

  • Ensure Loomis image is portrayed consistently across district.
  • Ensure Trucks are cleaned inside and out and ready for service.
  • Ensure all vehicle meets state and city requirements to operate.
  • Ensure that all recalls are performed in timely manner.
  • Salvage all trucks following Loomis policy.
  • Ensure Loomis policies and procedures are up to date
