Our Sr. Field Service Engineer will aid in the installation, operation, maintenance, repair and modification of in-field power plants, equipment, controls, components and ancillary products. This is to include guidance and training provided to customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance and inspection procedures and techniques. Analysis of equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective actions will be key, as will having support for an aggressive product support team focused on optimal service. This role will support world-class strategic, tactical, and technical service with aftermarket support to current and potential product customers. As a key support and lead of a multi-disciplinary team, the Senior Field Service Engineer is responsible for developing and carrying-out engineering design and repair-related activities incorporating Doosan’s proprietary technologies. Conducting unyielding focus on delivering tangible continuous improvement to the evolving products and the field service support in general will be essential.

Role & Responsibility

  • Support new products development with focus on serviceability

  • Support field maintenance procedures and manuals creation for new products

  • Work with Field Technicians on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Fuel Cell units

  • Prepare detailed reports of findings and suggest possible hardware and software adjustments/repairs

  • Lead and support root cause corrective action teams and activities

  • Focus on cost containment initiatives and opportunities across the Service organization

  • Conduct power plant and sub-systems performance analyses, hardware verification, testing, troubleshooting and root cause analysis

  • Train Field Technicians on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Fuel Cell units

  • Update service procedures, processes, and guides, to improve field service efficiency

  • Ability to work effectively with diversity of technical employees and customers

Job Requirement - Education & Experience

Education:

  • BA/BS degree with 6-10+ years of experience

  • MA/MS degree with 4-7+ years of experience

  • PhD with 2-4+ years of experience

  • Prefer degree in Engineering, Science or Technology (& Business for advanced degree)

    Experience:

  • Manufacturing/Industrial work and leadership experience

  • Troubleshooting experience on Fuel Cells, Electrolyzers, or other inverter-based power generation a plus

  • Multiple years experience in a business or field service role

  • Experience with local, regional, national and global customer support processes
