The Town of Easton Accounts Receivable Specialist in Easton, Maryland

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the accounts receivable and taxes collection for the Town of Easton. The person will be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues. The applicant should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator. The AR specialist will send statements to outstanding customers and generate tax billings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • A high school diplomas with at least 5 years of Accounts Receivable and Collection experience.
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • A valid Drivers license is required for this position.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of accounts receivable and collection experience is required.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel), Internet, fax machine, copier, printers, scanner and telephone.
  • Print monthly tax delinquent statements
  • Input data to create invoices for Accounts receivable and tax billings, including retiree health insurance, property maintenance charges, business personal property taxes and real estate taxes.
  • On occasional basis assist with processing mail payments, walk-in customers and answer phones.
  • Coordinate the collection of the annual tax sale information and notices.
