The Role The Warehouse Supervisor in the STERIS Eden Prairie location ensures the timely and accurate picking, packing, and distribution of Customer orders through the leadership of the Order Fulfillment team. This role is responsible for the supervision, training, performance, scheduling, and safety of Order Fulfillment staff; maintenance of warehouse equipment; and prioritizing the daily operations of the Order Fulfillment department while assuring compliance, cost effectiveness and timely Customer deliveries. Schedule: 8am to 5:30 pm Monday - Friday. Occasional weekend hours based on business need. What You Will Do Provide daily supervision to Order Fulfillment staff in the form of scheduling, work direction, training, coaching, performance management. Provide required training and maintain training logs and certifications for all Order Fulfillment staff. Manage the maintenance and upkeep of all related spaces to ensure compliance with safety best practices and OSHA regulations including but not limited to signage, PPE, safe passage and storage solutions. Manage the maintenance and preventive maintenance programs for all related equipment and fixtures. Manage supply replenishment plans for all related areas of the Order Fulfillment department. Lead team execution of policies, procedures, and department objectives to ensure compliance and drive best-practice behavior and accountability to meet Customer needs. Prioritize and react timely to changes in strategy, business needs or incidents to assure consistent leadership in all aspects of the Order Fulfillment department. Lead the development and engagement of Order Fulfillment staff through training, mentorship, and employee empowerment through work assignments, special projects, rewards, and recognition. Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the use of Lean principles, standard work, root cause analysis 5S, visual controls, etc. to standardize best practices within the Order Fulfillment department. Participation in the completion of tasks associated with DCR, NCMR, CAPA, etc. Lead by example and work professionally and effectively with other leads, managers, and employees regarding workflow, work schedules, and Order Fulfillment matters to maintain a positive, effective work environment and efficient operations. Partner with other departments including but not limited to Production, Customer Service, Sales, Quality and Supply Chain to communicate priorities and address inventory or process concerns. What You Will Need to Be Successful Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma / GED and 8 years of hands-on experience in shipping /receiving or warehouse operations. 3 or more years of people management experience. Proficient use of required power equipment for picking and stocking including a WAV, pallet stacker, and electric power jack. Proficient with use of handheld WMS functions required for picking, inventory look-up, stocking, and other assigned tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MRP systems (Oracle preferred) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities whilestaying focused on achievinggoalsrelated to safety, quality, and delivery/customer needs. Basic troubleshooting - ability to identify and describe machine issues to maintenance Results-driven, innovative, creative, and action-oriented; able to align and energize teams behind common objectives in a non-reporting structure. Familiarity with implementing Lean and other continuous improvement tools.
