Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Edina, Minnesota

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations on industrial manufacturing equipment.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair breakdowns related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Perform teardown, repair, replacement, and reassembly of equipment components such as motors, gearboxes, clutches, bearings, and electrical units.

  • Conduct regular maintenance on building equipment, including sprinkler systems, pumps, chillers, compressors, and power distribution systems.

  • Assist with ordering parts, standardizing components, and maintaining inventory for repairs.

  • Support outside contractors on-site as needed.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Utilize Microsoft applications such as Visio, Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and reporting.

  • Responsible for any other special projects as assigned.

  • Overtime may be required as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience

  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Applications including Visio, Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Troubleshooting

  • Hydraulics

  • Pneumatics

  • Preventive maintenance

  • Electrical

  • PLC troubleshooting

  • PLC control

  • Basic understanding of electrical system distribution

  • Blueprint reading

  • Electrical troubleshooting

  • Maintenance repair

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical or Associate’s degree or certification in Automation or PLC.

  • Experience with parametric and industrial control systems.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Forward-thinking with a desire for innovation, creativity, and continued education.

  • Experience working in a union/unionized manufacturing environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
