NICHO PRODUCE CO INC Processing Workers in Edinburg, Texas
Position is Year Round work.
Job Description:
As a worker in the processing department, you will be working with a team of dedicated employees who have been a part of our company for many years. You will assist in the daily processing, production and packing of fresh cut fruits and vegetables.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Accurately store, label and date all outgoing and completed food product.
Ensure adherence to all company standards regarding product quality and food safety practices.
Requires hands-on capability to operate all machinery and equipment within the boundaries of available manuals, instruction, and personal experience.
Monitors raw material and packaging inventories to ensure adequate supply and freshness (rotation) to support production requirements.
Report any discrepancies with any food safety concern to Management.
Requirements:
Experience in fresh cut production/processing environment.
Ability to work with knives and other sharp cutting equipment.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is required.
Knowledge of perishable produce operations and distribution.
Oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are crucial as well.
Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, work in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

Alternate:
Processing workers cover for one another.
Two Shifts: 1st Shift: M - S 6am - 6pm
Second Shift: M - S 4pm - 2am
