Job Title: Concrete Construction Worker
Job Description
The project is a high-rise balcony restoration project approximately 2 years in length. You will work from a swing stage to remove and repair concrete balconies using a variety of equipment such as jackhammers, sandblasting equipment, grinders, scrapers, and other hand and power tools. The role involves using various concrete coatings, resins, and epoxies. This is a very physical job, requiring the demoing and disposal of rubble.
MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION
Concrete restoration experience (1+ years)
Concrete coatings experience (2+ years)
Fall Protection certification
Swing stage experience
Ability to bend, crouch, and lift 50lbs
Experience with concrete finishing and concrete epoxy
Comfortable working at heights
Responsibilities
Work from a swing stage to remove and repair concrete balconies
Use equipment such as jackhammers, sandblasting equipment, grinders, scrapers, and other hand and power tools
Apply various concrete coatings, resins, and epoxies
Perform physically demanding tasks including demoing and disposing of rubble
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Sandblasting experience
Skid steer experience
Confined space certification
Driver's license/car

Work Environment
Majority of the work will be completed during the spring, summer, and fall seasons, depending on weather conditions such as rain and wind which can cause delays. The crew size ranges from 4-8 members, working at heights up to 15 stories. Longer shifts may be required due to weather constraints. The standard hours are 7:00am-5:00pm, with potential for overtime after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week. Weekend work may also be required based on weather and schedule demands.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edmonton, Alberta.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
