Job Title: Instructional Designer Developer
Location: Calgary or Edmonton, AB
Our client is seeking an Instructional Designer Developer to join their team. As an Instructional Designer Developer, you will be part of the training and development department supporting various business transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills, critical thinking abilities, and a passion for adult education, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Description:
Collaborate with Functional Change Specialists and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct training needs analysis and define training requirements.
Design learning objectives for training courses and create engaging storyboards.
Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum and learning resources aligned with program goals.
Deliver train-the-trainer sessions and serve as a resource during training sessions.
Conduct knowledge transfer and transition activities to support sustainment approaches.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Adult Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
A minimum of five years’ experience in training needs analysis and curriculum development.
Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices for both online and instructor-led training.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
