Job Description:
The Systems Assurance Coordinator for Light Rail Transit (LRT) will be a part of the T&C team, assisting to manage all commissioning to allow completion of the project and be responsible for a major part of documentation and handover of evidence.
What You'll Be Doing:
Implement the system assurance processes, conducting reviews of V&V matrices and evidence, and ensuring compliance with project plans while working collaboratively with various systems teams to enhance efficiency and understanding
Assess performance metrics and benchmarks for evaluating systems V&V deliverables
Understand quality assurance and quality control processes for “systems” components and operational procedures
Understand the difference between Quality & Commissioning work processes in line with project V&V process
Review T&C produced plans in line with systems assurance process.
Identify potential risks related to system assurance performance against defined plans, developing mitigation strategies to address these risks proactively
Work closely with LRT systems engineering, systems delivery and Commissioning teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration of expectation
Serve as a liaison with Requirement & V&V team members, EoRs and Package managers to clarify and set expectations to make sure T&C activities are clear and not delayed
Analyze performance data and identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement
Prepare and present regular T&C statics to management on systems V&V and T&C activities, findings, and recommendations
Understand the clear objective of evidence to define completion of validation activities (Evidence of completion or T&C)
Other activities of administration, documentation, process and training will also be needed to enable smooth running of the team or implementation of process.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 5+ years of experience in field construction is required.
Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance standards
Professional certification in Quality Assurance or Safety Management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.)
Valid Class 5 license; clean abstract preferred
Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
