Description
Leidos Civil Transportation Solutions is seeking a Training and Site Support Lead who is both passionate and experienced in aviation traffic flow management and leading-edge technologies. The right candidate can lead the design and development of Training Material on the Time Based Flow Management (TBFM) ; helping to create a more efficient National Airspace System (NAS). In addition, the candidate will help with technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development, and validation of systems requirements.
Training and Site Support Lead Responsibilities:
Working both, as a member of a team and independently the successful candidate will be:
Lead the Training Development and Documentation for TBFM FAA air traffic control platform.
Lead onsite FAA training.
Providing support needed for systems engineering.
Articulating user needs and requirements from high level designs.
Assist with validating system requirements
Implementing cutting edge technology and algorithms to increase NAS efficiency.
Optimizing the experience for the flying public, Air Traffic Control, and the airline industry by improving schedules generated for flights at various points throughout the NAS.
Developing A-Level System/Subsystem Specification (SSS) requirements, B-Level Software Requirements Specification (SRS), Systems Engineering Modeling and Design, and Computer Human Interface design and mock-up development for the TBFM system
Interfacing with the FAA customer to address/answer questions relating to the developed requirements, use cases describing human interactions and design decisions
Performing Systems Engineering as needed for the TBFM system
Providing support needed for software development, integration and test, and other functional areas
Articulating user needs and requirements from high level user stories
Developing the design for the user interface framework including client and server side components; analyzing and designing databases within an application
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with minimum of 12+ years of professional experience; or a minimum of 10+ years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
Air Traffic Site Support
Experience in creating Training documentation
Strong integration skills.
Strong communication skills to interface with internal and external customers.
Desired Skills:
- FAA air traffic domain knowledge.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
