Job responsibilities include preparing and teaching Allied Health classes and/ or clinical based on KDADs guidelines and expectations for course related to nurse aid, medication aid, etc. The instructor will collaborate with other Allied Health faculty members and the Faculty Development Team as needed to ensure continued success. This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Butler uses electronic grade books and other forms of mediated communication. Free training is offered and required.
Knowledge of nursing aid course content and computer literacy required. Required personal attributes include integrity, emotional maturity, dependability, and effective communication skills. Knowledge of adult education methods and theories preferred.
A minimum of two years of demonstrated nursing ability in a long-term care setting is required.\ Preferred experience: experience as faculty within a allied health program or equivalent experience in a long-term care setting.
