True Classic Warehouse Manager in El Monte, California

Reports to Senior Manager, Global Warehousing

We are seeking an exceptional Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of our warehouse operations. In this role you will be instrumental in the day-to-day management of the warehouse, leading a team to efficiently and safely handle the receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of goods.

Key Areas of Accountability

  • Team Leadership: Hire, develop, and motivate a team of warehouse staff. Foster a collaborative work environment & deliver exceptional business results.

  • Warehouse Operations and Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving storage, and dispatch of goods. Ensure efficient utilization or warehouse space and resources. Implement and optimize warehouse management systems and procedures.

  • Inventory Control: Organize and manage the storage of return items while maintaining accurate inventory records. Identify SKU, inspect the quality, and determine the proper disposition of garments (resale, donate, scrap). Address and resolve any inventory discrepancies.

  • Process Improvement and Efficiency: Recommend and implement efficient processes and assembly lines that maximize productivity while minimizing waste. Create KPIs and Google Sheets to track the daily volume processed by product type and disposition. Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Compliance and Standards: Uphold compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance and address any issues promptly.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Customer Service: Collaborate closely with customer service to address customer inquiries and issues related to returns. Provide data and insights on return trends to improve customer service strategies and customer experience.

  • Logistics and Transportation: Coordinate with logistics to ensure efficient handling and transportation of return items. Provide accurate data on return volumes and types to facilitate logistics planning and execution.

  • Operations: Collaborate with Operations leadership to streamline processes and minimize waste in handling returns. Implement efficient assembly line processes for return item inspection and sorting.l Provide feedback on product issues identified through returns for production improvement.

  • Finance: Work with finance to manage budgetary aspects related to return processing and inventory control. Collaborate on cost-saving initiatives and budget planning related to returns.

Qualification Requirements

  • Experience as a warehouse manager (3+ years) or in a similar role.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience and proficiency in operating within Experience in implementing and optimizing warehouse management systems.

  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.

  • Proficient in inventory management, Excel andGoogle Sheets.

Preferences

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate in both languages.

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Forklift certification and other relevant safety certifications.

  • Experience working with product returns or reverse logistics.

  • Familiarity with the specific industry and types of goods handled by the company.

Work Environment:

The warehouse is an open space with designated areas for receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. There are specific zones for loading docks, packaging, and quality control. The role requires standing, walking, and moving around the warehouse for extended periods of time. Regular lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 50 lbs is required. The warehouse adheres to strict health and safety standards, and the Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance. Proper use of a forklift, pallet jacks, and storage of heavy items (i.e pallets) is required, as employee safety is paramount. Regular cleaning and maintenance should be conducted to keep the environment safe and organized.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $60,000-$70,000
