For more information, visit amwater.com and join American Water on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.Primary Role Maintains, Operates, and repairs sewer system under the Contract with the City of Elizabeth.Work schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM scheduled weekend OT as needed.There are 2 positions available.#LI-LS1Key Accountabilities * Coordinate, monitor, and control the safe and efficient utilization of Company resources, when assigned. * Locate, access, operate and repair Sewer facilities such as, but not limited to mains, catch-basins, manholes and pump stations. * Investigate and diagnose flow variations that may adversely impact sewer system operations and customer service and initiate corrective measures. * Locate Sewer system facilities, and in accord with the Underground Facility Program, mark-out system facilities and initiate requests to mark-out other utilities' facilities. * Operate and repair Sewer system facilities such as but not limited to cleaning mains, cleaning catch-basins and catch basin laterals, and maintaining sewer and storm water pump stations. * Collect and evaluate effluent samples, as directed, in accordance with established practices. * Transports materials to and from Sewer system facilities and job sites. * Prepare Sewer system facilities for adverse weather conditions. * Record pertinent data and maintain accurate and complete records. * Report conditions in the field that may adversely impact customer service or the public safety, as well as conditions that may result in potential damage to Sewer system facilities. * Inspect and test flow chart recorder and back-flow prevention devices for accuracy quarterly. * Respond to inquiries accurately and professionally and, when necessary, involve the appropriate individuals to resolve customer and Sewer system related issues to achieve the highest level of customer service in all areas of responsibilities. * Other responsibilities as assigned.Knowledge/Skills * Able to speak, read, write and understand the English language. * Must possess a working knowledge of the various materials utilized in the Sewer system and possess the ability to properly and safely make necessary repairs to ensure the integrity of the system. * Customer Service focused. * Possess geographic knowledge of the Sewer system service area and collection system. * Must have working knTo view the full job description, click hereApply here: https://www.aplitrak.com/?adid=YmJnZW5lcmljLjMyMzQ4LjEwNDEyQGFtd2F0ZXJjb21wLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ
