Electro Chemical Manufacturing LLC Entry Level Maintenance Technician in Emmaus, Pennsylvania

Electro Chemical Manufacturing LLC has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Job responsibilities

Keeping the facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered as well as performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Duties may include:

  • Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken or damaged equipment, tools, etc.
  • Install appliances and equipment as needed.
  • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems.
  • Test the functionality of the facility's safety systems.
  • Collaborate with a team of workers and other professionals during renovations and/or other facility projects.
  • Report to facility or maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those in need of attention, and currently in progress.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year minimum exposure in a mechanical field (preferred)
  • Ability to learn HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Experience working with basic hand tools and learn the use of other tools.
  • Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to complete tasks without direct supervision and work overtime when required.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and sit various times throughout eight hours a day.
  • Occasional repetitive movement of fingers, hands, and twist.
  • Must be able to fit in tight spaces.
  • Comfortable working at heights above 4 feet.
