An industry-leading building materials manufacturer is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join their team near Ennis, Texas. This company has been established over 100 years with 65 facilities and 6,500+ employees across North America. This position will lead the Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement program for the facility. There will be 2 direct reports.

The salary is commensurate with experience up to $125K plus an annual bonus and excellent health/retirement benefits. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

responsibilities:

  • Implement Lean principles/practices to minimize all forms of waste

  • Identify ongoing lean improvement training needs and assist with developing and implementing the required training

  • Manage, develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive Continuous Improvement program for all production employees

  • Develop, update, and maintain standard work instructions, One Point Lessons, training procedures, manuals, and training documentation for operator proficiency program for all positions and support supervisors with employee training

  • Carry out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, time studies, and job evaluations

  • Serves as 5S Plant Champion & supports 5S throughout the factory

  • Lead Kaizen events for continuous improvement\

  • Support the implementation of a formal problem solving system and supervise direct reports as assigned
