Systems Engineering Manager
Job Description:
This company is the global leader in providing control and power systems to the mining, mill, oil and gas, power generation and utilities, and marine industries. This company is seeking an upper level member that will serve as their Systems Engineering Manager. This individual will be tasked to drive and participate in technical strategy, innovation, product delivery and continuous improvement. Responsibilities are as follows:
Job Responsibilities:
Possess a broad knowledge of controls, power conversion, customer applications/requirements, and coordinate project activities
Demonstrate strong project management independently or cooperatively, to collect information to form cost estimates, labor estimates, contingency plans and resource allocation
Stay up to date on current technologies in the industry as well as emerging technologies and trends
Demonstrate excellent skills in problem solving and project management
Develop and maintain engineering processes and standards
Assist in overall product strategies and product roadmaps
Prioritize respective engineering group's project and manage category pipeline
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Power, Software, Physics or Computer Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Master’s of Science or Business Administration is preferred
10 years of engineering experience
15 years of industry and related experience
10 years of experience in electric machines, drives, controls and/or systems
